Alexander Hülshoff violoncellista, si è affermato negli ultimi anni come uno dei più noti violoncellisti internazionali. Le sue interpretazioni si distinguono per l’espressività unita ad un inconfondibile tono caldo e lirico, molto apprezzato dal pubblico e dai partner musicali. È ospite solista di importanti orchestre internazionali come la German Radio Philharmonic, la German State Philharmonic, la Czech Philharmonic di Brno, la New Philharmonic di Westphalia. La musica da camera ha un ruolo importante nella sua attività artistica. Le sue performance al violoncello lo hanno visto esibirsi con il Trio Bamberg e altri musicisti come Friedemann Eichhorn, Hagai Shaham, Vadim Gluzman, Fine Arts Quartett, Gil Sharon, Rainer Honeck, Boris Garlitsky, Andreas Frölich, Patricia Pagny e Roland Krüger in sale da concerto di fama mondiale come la Filarmonica di Berlino, il Concertgebouw di Amsterdam, De Doelen di Rotterdam e Wigmore Hall di Londra. È stato ospite al Schleswig Holstein Festival, il Festival Enescu, Kfar Blum in Israele e il Festival Amadeo. È direttore artistico del Kloster Kamp Chamber Music Festival. Numerosi CD testimoniano l’ampiezza del suo repertorio musicale; ha inciso per Novalis, Naxos, Musicaphon, Brillant e VDM musical treasures labels. Le tournée lo portano regolarmente in altri paesi europei, nel Vicino, Medio ed Estremo Oriente così come in Asia, Nord e Sud America. Nel 1997 Alexander Hülshoff, i cui Maestri furono Martin Ostertag e Lynn Harrell, è stato nominato professore di violoncello presso l’Università Folkwang of the Arts. Il suo interesse spazia anche all’opera di recupero e ripristino di tesori musicali persi e dimenticati, come Friedrich Gernsheim, Concerto per violoncello e le opere di Robert Kahn e François Adrien Servais.
Il pianista tedesco Andreas Frölich ha studiato con Stefan Askenase, Vitalis Margulis e Pavel Gililov. Premiato in numerosi concorsi pianistici internazionali quali il Concorso di Senigallia, di Finale Ligure e di Vienna, ha tenuto concerti in alcune delle più famose sale in Europa, Sud America, Asia, Sud Africa e Australia fra cui Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Musikverein Vienna, Teatro Colón Buenos Aires, Cologne Philharmonie, Philharmonie “Gasteig” Monaco, Konzerthaus Berlino, Musikhalle Amburgo, Liederhalle Stoccarda, Teatro Municipal Rio de Janeiro, Teatro Alfa Sao Paolo, Cultura Artistica Sao Paolo, Salle Gaveau e Caroussel de Louvre Parigi, Mozarteum Salisburgo e molte altre così come nei più importanti festival come Rheingau Musikfestival, Schleswig Holstein Musikfestival, Festival di Salisburgo, Mozartfest Würzburg, Schubertiade Roskilde e molti altri.

Wien diretto dal concertmaster della Filarmonica di Vienna.
Ha al suo attivo molte registrazioni radiofoniche sia per emittenti nazionali tedesche che per emittenti internazionali; ha registrato oltre 35 Cd, molti dei quali hanno ottenuto premi e riconoscimenti, con etichetta OehmsClassics, CPO, EMI, BMG, Divox, Signum, Fono.
Andreas Frölich è direttore artistico e co/chairman del Concorso Internazionale di pianoforte Prix
AmadéO di Aachen, direttore artistico del Amadéo Chamber Music Festival, del Euriade Festival e della stagione Orpheo Concert Series a Kerkrade (Paesi Bassi).
È docente alla Hochschule für Musik und Tanz di Colonia/Standort Aachen e docente ospite alla International Summeracademy del Mozarteum di Salisburgo.
Negli ultimi anni suoi studenti hanno vinto oltre 40 primi e secondi premi in concorsi internazionali. Viene spesso invitato quale membro di giuria a svariate competizioni internazionali quali a Madrid, Beethoven Competition di Bonn, Valencia, Ferrol, Granada, Campillos, Larnaca/Cyprus e molte altre.

 Alexander Hülshoff has established himself in recent years as one of the leading cellists. His interpretations are distinguished for their expressiveness coupled with an unmistakeable, warm and lyrical tone, which are much appreciated by audiences and musical partners alike and are his outstanding qualities on the world’s concert platforms. He is guest soloist with major international orchestras such as the German Radio Philharmonic, the German State Philharmonic, the Czech Philharmonic of Brno, the New Philharmonic of Westphalia, Rom Symphony Orchestra, the Enescu Philharmonic, the Tel Aviv Soloist Ensemble, the Limburg Symphony Orchestra of Maastricht, the Armenian Philharmonic and many others.
Chamber music plays a significant role and has an important place in Alexander Hülshoff’s work. His cello performances include appearances with the Bamberg Trio and fellow musicians such as Pinchas Zukerman, Hagai Shaham, Vadim Gluzman, Fine Arts Quartett, Gil Sharon, Rainer Honeck, Boris Garlitsky in renowned concert halls such as the Berliner Philharmonic, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Rotterdam’s De Doelen and the Wigmore Hall in London. He has been guest instrumentalist at the Schleswig Holstein Festival, the Enescu Festival, Kfar Blum in Israel and the Amadéo Festival. He is artistic director of the Kloster Kamp Chamber Music Festival.
Numerous CD’s testify to the breadth of his musical scope, which includes works by, amongst others, Brahms, Beethoven, Schubert, Shostakovitch, Bloch and Servais. His recordings are released under the Novalis, Naxos, Musicaphon,Paladino, Brillant and Hänssler Classic
His concert tours regularly take him to other European countries, the Near, Middle and Far East as well as to Asia and North and South America.
In 1997 Alexander Hülshoff, whose most important teacher was Lynn Harrell, was appointed Professor of Cello at the Folkwang University of the Arts. At the moment he is Artistic Director of the Orchesterzentrum in Dortmund (www.orchesterzentrum.de) the institute for professional orchestral training of four universities of music (Cologne, Essen, Düsseldorf, Detmold).

Andreas Frölich is pianist of the Mendelssohn Trio Berlin and he often performed with Ensemble Wien led by the concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic. He recorded for many national (in Germany) and international radio stations and released more than 35 CD´s ( a number of them award -winning) for different labels like , OEHMS CLASSICS, CPO, EMI, BMG, Divox, Signum, Fono.

Andreas Frölich is artistic director and co/chairman of the international piano competition Aachen, artistic director of the “MozArte ” international music Festival and the “Orpheo concert series ” in Kerkrade/NL. Since october 2014 Andreas Frölich became aristic leader of the International clavicolgne /Aachen piano Festival and competition.

He is professor at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln /Standort Aachen and guest professor at the international summeracademy Mozarteum Salzburg. In the last years his students won more than 50 prizes (first and second) at international piano competitions.

He is often inivited as a jury member in many international piano competitions.
