Pauline Stephan, nata a Unna, in Germania, proviene da una famiglia di musicisti e ha ricevuto le prime lezioni di pianoforte all’età di cinque anni. Due anni dopo ha scoperto il suo amore per il violoncello.
Ha vinto premi in vari concorsi prima che il Prof. Matias de Oliveira Pinto si accorgesse di lei e la insegnasse negli anni successivi. Dopo si è laureata con un Bachelor of Music nella sua classe al conservatorio di Münster, ha studiato musica da camera con Antonio Valentino presso il conservatorio di Torino, in Italia. Contemporaneamente prende lezioni da Luca Magariello, prima alla Milano Music Master School e dal 2022 all’Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo.
Nel 2023 Si è diplomata con il Diploma accademico di II livello in Musica da camera con il massimo dei voti e la lode. Nel 2023 ha iniziato un master artistico presso l’Università Anton Bruckner di Linz nella classe di violoncello della professoressa Vashti Hunter e attualmente sta studiando con Bertin Christelbauer.
Da diversi anni Pauline Stephan non si esibisce solo sulla scena europea. Tra questi, concerti di musica da camera e da solista in Germania, Austria, Italia, Spagna, Francia, Croazia, Svizzera, Brasile e Giappone. Da oltre 10 anni è membro dei 12 Hellweger Cellisten, con i quali si è esibita più volte come solista e ha registrato un CD nel 2019. Come solista si è esibita inoltre nel 2019 con i Virtuosi di Spalato in Croazia e in Germania. Nel 2025 ha eseguito il Concerto di Dvořák presso l’Orchesterzentrum NRW.
Ha ricevuto importanti impulsi musicali in masterclass con il Prof. Marcio Carneiro, Prof. Enrico Bronzi, Prof. Julia Hagen, Prof. Jan Ickert, il Prof. Gabriel Schwabe.
Dal 2018 è borsista della Fondazione Yehudi Menuhin “Live Music Now“ e nel 2023 ha vinto il secondo premio al Concorso “Nilo Peraldo Bert” in Italia. Nel 2022 ha ricevuto una borsa di studio dal governo italiano per i suoi eccellenti risultati accademici.
Julian Richter, nato a Dortmund, in Germania, ha iniziato a suonare la tromba all’età di cinque anni e successivamente ha imparato la chitarra. Ha avuto modo di deliziare il pubblico in vari festival, sia come solista che con ensemble di musica da camera. Tra questi, festival in Austria, Germania, Francia, Spagna, Italia, Romania, Brasile e Giappone.
Frequenta regolarmente corsi di perfezionamento con Gary Ryan, Pavel Steidel, Tilmann Hopstock, Roberto Aussel, Pierre Pitzl e Alvaro Pieri. Ha ricevuto le prime lezioni di chitarra presso la scuola di musica di Dortmund con Roland Bischof e ha successivamente studiato con Prof. Reinbert Evers durante il periodo scolastico.
Nel 2015 ha iniziato gli studi di chitarra presso il conservatorio di Münster nella classe del Prof. Reinbert Evers. Dopo aver conseguito il Bachelor of Music, ha proseguito la sua formazione con un master presso il conservatorio di Lubecca, che ha iniziato nel semestre invernale 2020/21 nella classe del Prof. Otto Tolonen e concluso nel 2023 con il conseguimento del Master of Music. Nell’estate del 2021 si è esibito per l’emittente radiofonica Deutschlandfunk.
Oltre all’attività concertistica, Julian Richter svolge anche attività compositiva. Le sue composizioni e i suoi arrangiamenti sono stati eseguiti in diversi paesi europei e in Brasile.
Dal 2018 è borsista della Fondazione Yehudi Menuhin “Live Music Now”. Nel 2023 ha vinto il secondo premio nella categoria Musica da camera al Concorso chitarristico “Nilo Peraldo Bert” in Italia con il suo Duo Giussani (violoncello e chitarra). Nell’anno scolastico 2023/24 ha iniziato l’attività di insegnamento presso la Scuola Statale di Musica dell’Alta Austria.

Pauline Stephan, born in Unna, Germany, comes from a musical family and received her first piano lessons at the age of five. Two years later, she discovered her love for the cello.
She won prizes in various competitions before Professor Matias de Oliveira Pinto noticed her and taught her for the next few years. She later graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree from her class at the Münster Conservatory and studied chamber music with Antonio Valentino at the Turin Conservatory, Italy. She also took lessons with Luca Magariello, first at the Milano Music Master School and, since 2022, at the Pinerolo Academy of Music.
In 2023, she graduated with a Master’s Degree in Chamber Music with honors. In 2023, she began a Master of Arts program at the Anton Bruckner University in Linz in the cello class of Professor Vashti Hunter and is currently studying with Bertin Christelbauer.
For several years, Pauline Stephan has performed beyond the European stage. These include chamber music concerts and solo performances in Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, France, Croatia, Switzerland, Brazil, and Japan. For over 10 years, she has been a member of the 12 Hellweger Cellists, with whom she has performed several times as a soloist and recorded a CD in 2019. As a soloist, she also performed in 2019 with the Split Virtuosi in Croatia and Germany. In 2025, she performed the Dvořák Concerto at the Orchesterzentrum NRW.
She has received important musical inspiration in masterclasses with Prof. Marcio Carneiro, Prof. Enrico Bronzi, Prof. Julia Hagen, Prof. Jan Ickert, and Prof. Gabriel Schwabe.
Since 2018, she has been a Yehudi Menuhin Foundation “Live Music Now” scholarship holder and in 2023 she won second prize at the Nilo Peraldo Bert Competition in Italy. In 2022, he received a scholarship from the Italian government for his excellent academic achievements.
Julian Richter, born in Dortmund, Germany, began playing the trumpet at the age of five and later learned the guitar. He has delighted audiences at various festivals, both as a soloist and with chamber music ensembles, including festivals in Austria, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Romania, Brazil, and Japan.
He regularly attends master classes with Gary Ryan, Pavel Steidel, Tilmann Hopstock, Roberto Aussel, Pierre Pitzl, and Alvaro Pieri. He received his first guitar lessons at the Dortmund Music School with Roland Bischof and subsequently studied with Professor Reinbert Evers during his school years.
In 2015, he began his guitar studies at the Münster Conservatory in the class of Professor Reinbert Evers. After earning a Bachelor of Music, he continued his education with a Master’s degree at the Lübeck Conservatory, which he began in the 2020/21 winter semester in the class of Professor Otto Tolonen and concluded in 2023 with a Master of Music degree. In the summer of 2021, he performed for the Deutschlandfunk radio station.
In addition to his concert activity, Julian Richter also composes. His compositions and arrangements have been performed in several European countries and in Brazil.
Since 2018, he has been a scholarship holder of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation “Live Music Now.” In 2023, he won second prize in the Chamber Music category at the “Nilo Peraldo Bert” Guitar Competition in Italy with his Giussani Duo (cello and guitar). In the 2023/24 academic year, he began teaching at the Upper Austrian State Music School.
