Davide Fons, viola

Uno dei violisti più importanti della sua generazione, riconosciuto a livello nazionale e internazionale come vincitore del primo premio viola, David Fons ha studiato con Vicente Ortiz, Luis Roig, Luis Llacer, Jesse Levine e Wilfried Strehle. 

In orchestre come OSN, OCV, RTVE, Royal Opera House o Collegium Instrumentale ha potuto lavorare con direttori come F. Ayo, N. Chumachenco, Y. Menuhin, V. Ashkenazy, Z. Mehta, F. X. Roth o N. Luisotti tra gli altri. 

Ha partecipato a innumerevoli festival di musica da camera tra i più importanti in Europa e America Latina, come membro del Capriccio Trío, duo Palomares-Fons, Trío Acento, Viola Sings Dúo e come collaboratore del Beethoven Klavier Quartett, Ensemble de Cadaqués. e V430. 

Solista esperto, si è esibito negli auditorium di Saragozza, Vigo, Badajoz e Valencia, tra gli altri, accanto a direttori e solisti come Cristóbal Soler, Beatriz Fernández, Jesse Levine, Vasko Vassilev e Franco Petrachi, eseguendo parte dei grandi repertorio per viola e orchestra dei maestri W. Walton, K Pendercki, W. Williams

o P. Hindemith. 

Nel gennaio 2019 ha presentato il suo primo album “Viola Oppression”, che contiene le sonate di R. Clarke e D. Shostakovich, e nel 2022 partecipa alla registrazione dell’etichetta Naxos eseguendo il Concertino per viola, pianoforte e orchestra d’archi di Eduardo Grau. 

Nell’ottica di diffondere il repertorio per viola, viene presentata in Spagna la Suite per viola e orchestra di Agustí Borgunyó e gli vengono dedicati nuovi repertori, come il concerto per viola e orchestra, scritto dal compositore Javier Costa, “De solitude sonando …”

David utilizza una viola Giacommo e Leandro Bisiach del 1954 per le sue esibizioni. 

Carlos Apellaniz, pianoforte

La sua carriera è supportata da più di venti premi internazionali, tra cui il Premio Speciale al Concorso Pianistico Internazionale di Santander, il Primo Premio al Concorso Internazionale Flame (Parigi), il Premio Claude Kahn (Parigi) e il Premio Saint Nom La Breteche (Parigi). 

Ha iniziato gli studi musicali con la pianista Françoise Doué presso “L’Ecole Nationale de Musique de Bayonne-Côte Basque”, dopo aver terminato la sua formazione ottenendo la Medaglia d’Oro, ha continuato il suo perfezionamento con i pianisti Jacques Rouvier e Pascal Devoyon presso il C. N. S. M. di Parigi dove gli è stato assegnato il Primo Premio per il Pianoforte e il Primo Premio per la Musica da Camera. 

Ha perfezionato la sua formazione musicale presso la Scuola Superiore di Musica Reina Sofía con Dimitri Bashkirov e Galina Eguiazarova. In numerose masterclass ha seguito i consigli di Alicia de Larrocha, Leon Fleisher, F. R. Duchable, Dario Darosa, tra gli altri. 

Viene nominato pianista solista del Grup Instrumental de Valencia, e la sua carriera prende una svolta verso il mondo contemporaneo, dal quale si è sempre sentito attratto. Grazie al suo lavoro in questo campo della musica di nuova creazione, gli viene riconosciuto il National Music Award. Collabora regolarmente con il Plural Ensemble, Espai Sonor, Ensemble d’arts. 

È regolarmente invitato ad esibirsi come solista in numerose orchestre nell’ambito di prestigiosi Festival Internazionali. Partecipa regolarmente a registrazioni per Radio France, Radio Nacional de España, Radio Bartok, Euskaltel Irratia. . . e ha album con le etichette Sgae, Verso, Naxos. . . 

Molto attivo nei gruppi di musica da camera, è membro fondatore del B3: Brouwer Trio, Dúo Apellaniz, con il quale si esibisce regolarmente. 

Ha insegnato a Musikene (Paesi Baschi), al Conservatorio di Musica di Aragona e in numerosi festival estivi. 

Attualmente combina il suo lavoro di insegnamento presso il Conservatorio di Musica di Valencia con le sue esibizioni pubbliche sia di musica da camera che di pianista solista. 

Carmina Morella, violino

Nato a Catarroja, ha iniziato i suoi studi musicali presso la società musicale L’Artesana de Catarroja con suo padre e con il violino sotto la guida di Daniel Albir. 

Successivamente studiò presso i Conservatori di Catarroja, José Iturbi di Valencia e il Conservatorio Superiore Joaquin Rodrigo di Valencia con M. A. Gorrea, E. Palomares e S. Juan. Ha inoltre perfezionato la sua formazione violinistica con V. Balaguer, A. León Ara,

J. Dalhgren e sempre sotto la direzione di Félix Ayo. 

Il suo percorso artistico è sempre stato legato alle orchestre, essendo stato membro della JONDE, l’Orchestra della Città di Granada, Orchestra di Oviedo, Orchestra dell’Estremadura, e collaborando con l’Orchestra della Comunità di Madrid, l’Orchestra di Bilbao, l’Orchestra di Castilla y León e il Collegium Instrumentale, sotto la direzione dei maestri J. Mena, J. Pons, A. Ròs Marbà, Z. Metha, L. Köhler, W. Weller tra gli altri, esibendosi nelle principali sedi europee. 

Come solista ha eseguito il doppio concerto per violino e oboe di J. S. Bach, Suite n. 3 per violino e viola di K. Atterberg e la prima assoluta dell’opera “North Fantasy” di X. Arias, oltre a recital di violino e pianoforte. 

Nel campo della musica da camera, ha formato un duo con il chitarrista Manuel Mateu, ha collaborato con la Cuerda Valencia Cuarteto e il Collegium Instrumentale, ed è membro del Dumka Trio. 

Dal 2003 è membro dell’Orchestra di Valencia.

David Fons, viola

One of the most notable violists of his generation, recognized nationally and internationally as a winner of first viola awards, David Fons studied with Vicente Ortiz, Luis Roig, Luis Llacer, Jesse Levine and Wilfried Strehle.

A well-versed soloist, he has performed in the auditoriums of Zaragoza, Vigo, Badajoz and Valencia, among others, alongside directors and soloists such as Cristóbal Soler, Beatriz Fernández, Jesse Levine, Vasko Vassilev and Franco Petrachi, performing part of the great repertoire for viola and orchestra of teachers W. Walton, K Pendercki, W. Williams or P. Hindemith.

In January 2019 he presents his first album “Viola Oppression”, which contains the sonatas of R. Clarke and D. Shostakovich, and in 2022 he participates in the Naxos label recording performing the Concertino for viola, piano and string orchestra by Eduardo Grau.

Out of the concern to disseminate the repertoire for viola, Agustí Borgunyó’s Suite for viola and orchestra premieres in Spain, and new repertoire is dedicated to him, such as the concerto for viola and orchestra, written by the composer Javier Costa, “De solitude sonando… ”

David uses a 1954 Giacommo e Leandro Bisiach viola for his performances.

Carlos Apellaniz, piano

His career is supported by more than twenty international awards, highlighting the Special Prize at the Santander International Piano Competition, First Prize at the International Flame Competition (Paris), Claude Kahn Prize (Paris) and Saint Nom La Breteche Prize (Paris).

He began his musical studies with the pianist Françoise Doué at “L’Ecole Nationale de Musique de Bayonne-Côte Basque”, after finishing his training being awarded the Gold Medal, he continued his improvement with the pianists Jacques Rouvier and Pascal Devoyon at the C.N.S.M. of Paris where he was awarded the First Prize for Piano and the First Prize for Chamber Music.

He perfectionated at the Reina Sofía Higher School of Music with Dimitri Bashkirov and Galina Eguiazarova. He has followed the advice of Alicia de Larrocha, Leon Fleisher, F. R. Duchable, Dario Darosa, among others, in numerous master-classes.

He is named solo pianist of the Grup Instrumental de Valencia, and his career takes a turn towards the contemporary world, to which he has always felt attracted. Thanks to his work in this field of newly created music, he is recognized with the National Music Award. He regularly collaborates with the Plural Ensemble, Espai Sonor, Ensemble d’arts.

He is regularly invited to perform as a soloist in numerous orchestras within the framework of prestigious International Festivals. He regularly participates in recordings for Radio France, Radio Nacional de España, Radio Bartok, Euskaltel Irratia… and has albums with the Sgae, Verso, Naxos labels…

Very active in Chamber Music formations, he is a founding member of the B3: Brouwer Trio, Dúo Apellaniz, with whom he regularly performs.

He has taught classes at Musikene (Basque Country), Aragon Conservatory of Music and at numerous summer festivals.

Currently, he combines his pedagogical work at the Valencia Conservatory of Music with his public performances of both chamber music and solo pianist.

Carmina Morella, violin

A native of Catarroja, he began his musical studies at the L’ Artesana de Catarroja musical society with his father, and with the violin under the tutelage of Daniel Albir.

She later studied at the Catarroja Conservatories, José Iturbi from Valencia and Joaquin Rodrigo Superior Conservatory from Valencia with M.A. Gorrea, E. Palomares and S. Juan. She also perfected her violin training with her, V. Balaguer, A. León Ara,

J. Dalhgren and always under the direction of Félix Ayo.

Her artistic career has always been linked to orchestras, having been a member of the JONDE, of the City Orchestra of Granada, Oviedo Orchestra, Extremadura Orchestra, and collaborating with the Community of Madrid Orchestra, Bilbao Orchestra, Castilla y León Orchestra, and Collegium Instrumentale, under the batons of the teachers J. Mena, J. Pons, A. Ròs Marbà, Z. Metha, L. Köhler, W. Weller among others, performing in the main European venues.

As a soloist she has performed the double concerto for violin and oboe by J.S. Bach, Suite No. 3 for Violin and Viola by K. Atterberg and the premiere of the work “North Fantasy” by X. Arias, as well as violin and piano recitals.

In the field of chamber music she formed a duo with guitarist Manuel Mateu, she has collaborated with the Cuerda Valencia Cuarteto and Collegium Instrumentale, and is a member of the Dumka Trio.

Since 2003 she has been a member of the Valencia Orchestra.
